I have made a discovery, and this is what I have found: the words you use to describe who you are, these words you accept as truth, they incorrectly depict who you are in reality. Words such as incompetent, inadequate, maladroit, unsuccessful, to name a few—what I wish you knew is none of those words are actually you.
You tell me you disappoint, you’re afraid to let people down. These expectations they have for you are a substantial weight, and I see they have caused you to strive for perfection and accept nothing less than just that. I pray these burdens be taken from you, because we will never please this world. I pray you fix your eyes on what is eternal rather than what is temporal, and I pray you will lay your burdens down at the cross. I pray for you, I believe in you, I care about you.
